Our Mission

As an eco-innovative company, we aim to extract sodium alginate from seaweed through sustainable means. We use the maximum of sea water and reduce the usage of fresh water in our process. Sodium alginate is a safe and healthy alternative to methyl cellulose, and it is also high in nutrition. Additionally, sodium alginate has binding and functional properties that can improve taste and texture in food products. By using our innovative process, we are able to provide a healthier, more sustainable product for our consumers.

Sustainable food ingredient

There is an increasing need for sustainable food ingredients which we meet with our eco-innovative methods

Alternative to high toxic stabilizers

They can build up in the tissues of animals and humans over time, causing health problems. Additionally, these chemicals can persist in the environment for long periods of time, meaning that they can contaminate soil and water supplies.  Our product has none of these problems.

Taste and texture enhancements

Sodium alginate is a food additive that can be used to improve the taste and texture of foods. It is commonly used in the food industry to thicken or gel foods, and to stabilize emulsions. Sodium alginate can also be used to prevent ice crystals from forming in frozen foods, and to improve the shelf life of baked goods.

What is sodium alginate?

Sodium alginate is a natural polymer extracted from seaweed and brown algae.  We use eco-innovative processes to extract this wonderful compound and in doing so, help to support our local food industries and exports.

Put simply: Our sodium alginate is a cost effective sustainable product with high nutritious value that can add taste and texture to the product.

A pliable substance that can be put to great use in crafts and toys

Produced Locally in the UK & Ireland

Abundant availability of seaweed in Britain and Ireland will provide us low-cost and renewable raw material for the extraction of sodium alginate.  Not only is it sustainable and eco-friendly, it will help sustainable economic development instead of the inefficient use of international suppliers.

100% Organic

This is a natural product derived from seaweed and algae which we have an abundance of in local supply, helping to keep our costs down which means your end product is lower cost without sacrificing quality!

Sodium alginate is a waste by-product which is usually disposed of while extracting dried seaweed. Which contains not only high nutrients but also has functional and binding properties. Our aim is to extract sodium alginate from seaweed through eco-innovative method which is sustainable and eco-friendly.
